Deutsche Bank Start-Up Scholarship Program FAQs

• Substantial Annual Support – an amount of £3,000 annually for a maximum of three years.
• The opportunity for an additional bonus payment of up to £3,000 upon the successful completion of a CSR mentoring or volunteering project, small or start-up business involvement or completion of a finance related qualification or language course.
• Mentoring opportunities – Scholarship recipients are partnered with a representative from Deutsche Bank. If recipients are interested in pursuing a career within a particular division of Deutsche Bank then we will match them with a mentor in their preferred area.
• Invitation to a Welcome Day Event – recipients will get an introduction to Deutsche Bank, receive interview training and have lunch with and shadow their mentor.
• Fast-track to first round interviews for the Analyst Internship Program for students in their penultimate year.

You need to be a first-year student studying towards a three-year degree or a second-year student studying towards a four-year degree.

The Deutsche Bank Start-Up Scholarship is not means-tested. The Scholarship was originally launched in recognition of the increasing financial commitment required to complete your University degree. Deutsche Bank believes by financially supporting students it allows you to focus on long-term goals and ambitions. This is to the benefit of the both the industry and the individual.

Deutsche Bank offers ten scholarships annually.

The Start-Up Scholarship Program does not include an offer for a full-time position. Scholarship recipients are given a fast-track to the first round of interviews for Analyst Internship Program in their division of interest. Following a successful Summer Internship, there is a possibility of a graduate job offer.

Applicants must include a Curriculum Vitae and a Covering Letter stating why they wish to be awarded the Start-up Scholarship. Applicants will then be invited to complete an online numerical test. Successful applicants will then be invited to attend one round of interviews.

Yes, you can apply for more than one First Year Program. You will need to submit a separate application for each program, but will only need to sit one online numerical test.
