Diversity at Deutsche Bank

Our global reach and local presence in over 70 countries and with staff from more than 135 nations requires us to bridge many cultures and create an environment for our employees where they can be authentic and therefore best meet the needs of our clients.

Deutsche Bank supports all aspects of diversity. Specific initiatives that demonstrate our commitment are:

  • Diversity Committees comprised of senior business leaders within each region oversee business accountability for diversity.
  • Women make up half the world’s population but are under-represented in senior public and private sector positions. To increase female representation at the very top Dr. Ackermann and the Group Executive Committee sponsor ATLAS (Accomplished Top Leaders Advancement Strategy) for women already in very senior positions and Deutsche Bank Women Global Leaders for middle level female management. Women’s networks create connectivity between women at all levels and with female clients.
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender individuals very often feel they need to hide their sexual orientation or gender identity. They are supported through our Rainbow Network which has senior level management sponsors who play a critical role in creating an open environment so that our LGBT employees can bring themselves to work openly and completely.
  • The Multicultural Network promotes multicultural thinking and bridges the many cultures at Deutsche Bank.

These are only a few examples of organized diversity activities. Most importantly, in our culture at DB we live Diversity everyday.
