New representative office in St. Moritz

Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management (PWM) is enhancing its presence in Switzerland as of January 2009. With its new representative office in St. Moritz PWM intends to expand its services for high-net-worth individuals. Hanspeter Danuser joins Deutsche Bank PWM bringing to the bank more than 30 years’ experience as a tourism and marketing specialist on the St. Moritz region.

Hans-Jürgen Koch, CEO Deutsche Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. welcomed Danuser to Deutsche Bank in Switzerland. “Mr Danuser is a real Swiss perennial. He knows the St. Moritz region like the back of his hand and also has an excellent international network, which is unequalled both here in Switzerland and also internationally. We are delighted and naturally proud that Mr Danuser will be helping us establish Deutsche Bank in St. Moritz as a first-class brand for high-net-worth individuals,” said Koch at a press conference in Zurich.

Hanspeter Danuser added: “I have long admired Deutsche Bank's position as one of the world's leading financial services provider for demanding clients. Besides being a true global brand, Deutsche Bank is also an attractive employer here in Switzerland. The bank and I share common values such as commitment, openness to innovation and open-mindedness. I am very much looking forward to the new, exciting and challenging task that lies ahead. I will use all my experience, contacts and expertise to support the bank.” Danuser will primarily assist PWM in St. Moritz by trying to bring together potential clients with the bank’s advisors.

For 28 years, the bank has been successfully serving high-net-worth individuals in Switzerland and Europe, the Middle East as well as Latin America and Asia from its offices in Geneva, Zurich and Lugano. Since 2003 it has also been managing Swiss private clients through Zurich-based private bank Rüd, Blass & Cie AG Bankgeschäft, a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bank (Switzerland) Ltd.

In addition to Private Wealth Management, Deutsche Bank in Switzerland offers the full range of services of an international corporate and investment bank. Deutsche Bank AG has a branch in Zurich that manages Swiss corporate and institutional clients. Deutsche Asset Management Schweiz is responsible for institutional asset management and DWS Schweiz GmbH for investment fund business. Both companies are also based in Zurich.

The bank employs around 1,000 staff in Switzerland, of whom 765 specialise in managing high-net-worth individuals. Deutsche Bank (Switzerland) Ltd and Rüd, Blass & Cie AG currently manage client assets of EUR 35 billion (CHF 55.2 billion).*

Koch added: “Today we are one of the largest foreign banks in Switzerland and want to continue growing. Our investment policy has a carefully targeted international focus. Our Swiss private clients benefit from Deutsche Bank’s worldwide presence on all major capital markets.”
