Enabling Talent - Education

The next generation of school leavers will be the next generation of Deutsche Bank employees. It currently
costs UK business £10 billion each year to train new recruits in basic skills (Ernst & Young). It makes good business sense for the Bank to ensure pupils are given every chance to develop these basic skills at school.
Deutsche Bank initiates and supports projects that maximise the potential of young people and ensure the educational journey they experience is
enjoyable and successful. We want to keep young people in school by enriching the system that exists and providing even more opportunities for them to attain and achieve both in and outside the classroom.
In addition, we aim to encourage students to
progress into further and higher education and expand their knowledge about careers and the workplace as a whole. Through this approach, we aim to create a well educated, highly skilled and employable generation which will benefit the individual, the community and the economy as a whole.
In London alone, we invest over
£1m annually in Education. This, coupled with the support of over
200 Deutsche Bank volunteers, helps us to benefit
thousands of students and teachers each year.
“I’m sure that without this project the number of our children would not be remaining in our school and would have been excluded.”
