Senior management kicks off Deutsche Bank Singapore Volunteer Month

August 2016 │ Singapore

On August 13, to kick off Deutsche Bank Singapore Volunteer Month, Philip Lee, Chief Country Officer Singapore and Chandra Mallika, Chief Operating Officer APAC joined a team of volunteers to help clean up Life Community Service Society (LCSS)’s Student Care Centre in the heartlands.

LCSS supports and cares for children and families when a parent has been incarcerated, providing targeted intervention and family services. Deutsche Bank has supported LCSS over the last decade, through various project partnerships, networks, fundraising, and staff engagement initiatives.

LCSS’ Student Care Centre was scheduled to host an open house and Deutsche Bank volunteers were happy to help give the centre a thorough cleaning, enabling busy LCSS staff to take this task off their long to-do list.

The volunteers rolled up their sleeves, filled buckets and climbed up ladders to clean the ceiling fans and the windows. Dusting the desks, cabinets and other furniture was also part of the day’s work. With everyone working together, the Centre was spick and span in a few hours.

This marked the start of Deutsche Bank Singapore Volunteer Month from August 15 to September 15. More than 40 volunteering activities have been planned, including hands-on work as well as experiential and learning opportunities.
