Deutsche Bank Singapore awarded Patron of Heritage award for Art Bus Programme

April 2014 │ Singapore

Nominated by the Singapore Art Museum, Deutsche Bank Singapore received the Patron of Heritage Award from the National Heritage Board of Singapore on April 25, 2014. The prestigious national accolade acknowledges organisations and individuals for their contributions to heritage development.

Deutsche Bank’s donation enabled the Singapore Art Museum to present the Deutsche Bank Art Bus Programme, a platform specifically tailored to introduce art to schoolchildren. Each session includes a guided museum tour and a story-telling session, followed by hands-on art-making services. This is the sixth year that the bank has sponsored this programme.

The award ceremony in April was held at the National Museum of Singapore, graced by Mr. Lawrence Wong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, and Second Minister for Ministry of Communications and Information. Vice Chairman for Deutsche Bank Singapore Ronny Tan accepted the award on the Bank’s behalf.

The Deutsche Bank Art Bus programme is part of the Born to Be programme in the region which aims to make art education more accessible to children and to develop their appreciation of contemporary art. For more information on the Art Bus programme, please click here.
