Go Red for Singapore Heart Foundation

March 2014 │ Singapore

For the fourth year running, Deutsche Bank Singapore partnered with the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) to commemorate International Women’s Day, a day which celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women around the world.

Friday, March 7, saw Deutsche Bank Singapore staff coming to work dressed with a touch of red, as part of the SHF’s Go Red for Women campaign to raise awareness of heart diseases among women in Singapore. Some men were seen wearing red trousers in their support of the campaign. The Bank made a donation of SGD 8 for every participating staff member.

Other activities included basic health screening, salad demonstration by the SHF’s in-house nutritionist and a health awareness lunch hosted by the SHF. The salad lunches, where the recipe was prepared by the SHF’s in-house nutritionist, was a hit with all staff.

Outright donations, proceeds from the sale of merchandise and salad lunches, as well as matching by the Bank, raised a total of more than SGD 10,000 for SHF to support community education initiatives aimed at educating women on heart health and provide treatment for underprivileged women suffering from cardiovascular illnesses.
