On February 10, Deutsche Bank hosted its annual Art show at the Courtyard of the Deutsche Bank House, the heritage headquarters of the Bank in Mumbai.

Members of the Deutsche Bank India ExCo along with Gunit Chadha, CEO and his wife Rano Chadha welcomed more than 200 top bank clients. One of Mumbai's oldest art gallery, Sakshi, curated the art show which featured contemporary Indian masters from Jitish Kallat to Raza.

As a special corporate citizenship initiative this year, the Annual Art show featured a special benefit for the Mumbai Police Welfare Fund. Titled "In salutation to the Mumbai Police Force", this special section showcased 23 artworks made by the policemen of Mumbai.

An expression of their connection to the community they serve and the heritage they protect so tirelessly, the artworks were initiated at the behest of Arup Patnaik, Police Commissioner of Mumbai. Deutsche Bank was proud to be part of this noble endeavour to promote the artistic talent of these men.

Appreciating their flair with the brush, Gunit said, “It's amazing to see such talent come through from the policemen who work tirelessly through the day. I hope this platform will encourage them to pursue their passion.” The Mumbai Police Commissioner, Arup Patnaik was present at the event and said that opportunities like these will go a long way in promoting talent.

By the end of the evening, all 23 artworks were sold and the proceeds from the sale will go to the Mumbai Police Welfare Fund.
