Deutsche Bank presents computers and scholarships to underprivileged students

Deutsche Bank Manila donated eight computers to underprivileged children in Manila at a distribution ceremony held on 9 May 2011 organized by the Families and Children for Empowerment and Development Foundation (FCED), a non-profit organization that facilitates leadership development, empowerment, organizational development and social services among street children and the urban poor in the areas of Paco and Pandacan.

Rhoneil Farjardo, Chief Operating Officer for Deutsche Bank Philippines was present to meet the beneficiaries who will be entering college in the upcoming academic year. They expressed immense gratitude for the computers and pledged their commitment to do well in school.



The same morning, Mr. Farjardo attended another school opening ceremony in Paco, Manila, for 300 beneficiaries of the Educational Assistance Programme - a Deutsche Bank-sponsored programme. Speeches from both Deutsche Bank and FCED highlighted the importance of social investment in the children. This programme was initiated in 2010 and has yielded a positive impact on the children and their families.
