KSBL has a ‘need-blind admission policy’, through which students are selected and admitted purely on merit, after undergoing a long and vigorous assessment process. Once successfully qualified, KSBL's financial aid office reviews each applicant's status and structures a financial assistance package according to their needs.
Deutsche Bank's scholarship sponsors one female candidate per year who fulfills all the admission criteria but is unable to meet the fee structure.
The decision to support female MBA students was appealing to Deutsche Bank's CSR and management team. "In Pakistan, we have empirical evidence that women often perform better in academics and likewise excel in business, but we see too few women at senior levels of the corporate hierarchy" said Faizan Mitha, Deutsche Bank's Chief Country Officer for Pakistan. "We hope this scholarship will inspire and encourage young women to obtain advanced degrees and become leaders in the business community."
The Deutsche Bank MBA scholarship has already received wide coverage in the press in Pakistan, championing a perception that Deutsche is a strategic sponsor of business diversity in Pakistan.
