On December 1, Deutsche Bank volunteers assisted in the Worlds AIDS Day walk organised by Action for AIDS.  In support of HIV/AIDS victims, more than 200 people came together to walk through the crowded Orchard Road, a popular shopping district in Singapore.

The team of 18 Deutsche volunteers started the day preparing goodie bags with umbrellas, t-shirts, paper fans, and contraceptives. The team then set up the registration and pledge booths and also went around collecting feedback from the public.

The walk started at 3.00pm and unfortunately so did the rain! Despite this, the spirits of the participants and our Deutsche Bank road marshals were not dampened and the walk proceeded as planned, with numerous red World AIDS Day umbrella brightening the streets of Orchard Road.

After the last participant reached the ending point, the team joined the last batch of activities managed by MAC Foundation at Tangs Shopping Centre.

The Deutsche Bank volunteer coordinator, Arjun Soni, praised the enthusiasm of the team which he said went a long way toward making this walk a memorable one for all participants.
