Deutsche Bank supports Huong Duong Orphan and Disabled Patronage Center, Vietnam

May 2011 │ Vietnam

In line with Deutsche Bank’s corporate social responsibility focus on education and enhancing the well-being of underprivileged children, Deutsche Bank Vietnam has been working with the Huong Duong Orphan and Disabled Patronage Center (HDC) since 2009.

The HDC is a local non-profit organization that provides accommodation, academic and social support to underprivileged youth, preparing them eventually to access tertiary education and thus allowing them an opportunity to create a better future for themselves.

As a relatively young organization, HDC is relatively unknown. Deutsche Bank, besides providing financial assistance, also offers management advice and mentoring for the students over the long term.

In the last two years, Deutsche Bank has contributed towards the establishment of the school and its starting operations for an initial group of 30 students. This year, the Bank will work closely with HDC to take in an additional 50 new students.
