Treasury Hunt for free Palliative Care provider - Hospis Malaysia

March 2014 │ Malaysia

Hospis Malaysia is a charitable organisation that offers professional Palliative Care to patients who are suffering from life-limiting illness within the Klang Valley in Kuala Lumpur. Care extended by Hospis Malaysia transcends age, gender, culture, religion and social standing and is offered free-of-charge.

Deutsche Bank sponsored and participated in an annual Charity Treasury Hunt, proceeds  of which go towards sustaining Hospis Malaysia’s efforts in continuing their free services to promote a healthier and more dignified life of those in need of palliative care.

On March 15 2014, 44 teams of treasure hunt enthusiasts gathered at the car park of Tesco Extra Cheras for the official flag-off, at the break of dawn.   The Chairman of Hospis Malaysia, Dato’ Richard Robless, addressed the participants before the flag-off and thanked all sponsors and participants for their support and contribution towards the support of their palliative care efforts.

This year, the participants found themselves solving clues and collecting treasures that led them up north to the Bougainvillea City of Ipoh. Seven (7) teams comprising of 20 staff and 3 family members of Deutsche Bank Malaysia had an enjoyable time driving, decoding clues, solving riddles and shopping for treasures which was all for a good charitable cause.  All the treasures collected were donated to a designated children home.

This 13th Charity Treasure Hunt brought together participants from all walks of life together with their families, colleagues and  friends, all of whom portrayed a spirit of true camaraderie.
