Nan Kai Chinese Primary School Adoption Programme

October 2012 │ Malaysia

On September 26, a team of 23 corporate volunteers from Deutsche Bank Malaysia spent their lunch hour at the Nan Kai Chinese Primary School which was adopted under Bank Negara Malaysia’s School Adoption Program.

The corporate volunteers and the schoolchildren had a fun-filled time engaging in interactive games and quizzes conducted in English.  The children thoroughly enjoyed the word puzzles, riddles, matching foreign currencies to their respective countries and a mathematics quiz.  The students were presented with a Deutsche Bank t-shirt and water bottle each and winning teams were rewarded with books and prizes.

To further improve the facilities in this vernacular school and to enhance the students’ learning experience, the Bank provided Nan Kai with a new digital LCD projector for their use in the assembly hall.

We will continue to work with the Nan Kai Chinese Primary School as part of our ongoing commitment to build and equip the resource centre for the students and to create greater awareness of financial planning under the Central Bank’s ‘Buku Wang Saku’ campaign.
