‘Time Present – Photography from the Deutsche Bank Collection’ opens in Tokyo

The third exhibition in Asia of ‘Time Present – Photography from the Deutsche Bank Collection’ opened at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art on Saturday 12 September. A four-month display of 60 works representing a global history of photography as a contemporary art form, the exhibition showcases artists of more than 40 nationalities, with many being shown for the first time in Japan. As with the openings in Singapore in October 2014 and Mumbai in March 2015, the Japan exhibition’s official opening was preceded by a number of events for staff, clients and the art-loving public. more

Addressing deep-rooted needs in Siem Reap

Siem Reap, the tourist gateway to Angkor Wat, sees millions of tourists visit annually. Despite this, many living in poverty do not have access to quality medical care and clean drinking water. To address these needs, Deutsche Bank began partnering with Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) in 2009 and Singapore International Foundation in 2010. more

Born to Be – Angkor Hospital for Children opens newly expanded Outpatient Department

On April 28, Angkor Hospital for Children’s (AHC), a beneficiary of Deutsche Bank Asia Pacific Foundation, inaugurated a newly renovated and expanded Outpatient Department in Siem Reap, Cambodia. AHC provides outpatient, inpatient, intensive, surgical, and HIV care, as well as other services, free of charge, to over 120,000 underprivileged children in Cambodia every year. The opening was attended by Annie Yeo, Head of Corporate Responsibility, Asia. more

Regional volunteers bring colour and light to Mumbai, India

A fourth volunteer exchange trip was held this year from October 3 to 6 in Mumbai, India as part of the celebration of Deutsche Bank Asia Foundation (DBAF)’s tenth anniversary. Ten international volunteers from various countries across Asia Pacific, along with local volunteers from Deutsche Bank’s Mumbai office, came together over four long but very rewarding days to assist in three projects with Deutsche Bank’s charity partners. more

Regional volunteers build a new three-classroom building for students in Ban Nongtabak school, Lopburi province

On November 7 to 9, 16 volunteers from six countries in the APAC region travelled to Ban Nongtabak school in Nong Muang district, Lopburi province, to join 35 Deutsche Bank Bangkok staff and help build a new three-classroom building. Prior to the trip, the school only had one three-classroom building, which was insufficient to house 150 students. This is the seventh school built by Deutsche Bank’s Bangkok branch in partnership with Rong Rein Khong Noo (My School). more

Volunteers from regional Deutsche Bank offices pull in to help in Sri Lanka

As part of its continuing support to local community initiatives and to promote volunteerism among staff, the Deutsche Bank Asia Foundation organised a volunteering mission to Sri Lanka from 28 to 31 July 2011. Born to Be – Deutsche Bank volunteers help heal smiles and transform lives in Zhengzhou, China

For the third year running, Deutsche Bank Asia Foundation is supporting Operation Smile China Medical Mission (OSCMM) in its goal to transform lives. Building on the success of mission trips in the last two years with OSCMM, 15 Deutsche Bank volunteers, from various countries across Asia, joined credentialled medical professionals from around the world on April 10 to 15 to help provide specialised cleft lip and palate treatments for patients in Zhengzhou, China. more

2013 – a year of highlights for AHC

In 2013, Deutsche Bank continued its partnership with Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) in Siem Reap, sponsoring surgeries for children from multiple locations across Cambodia. In the early part of the year, around 22 Deutsche Bank staff volunteers from ten countries in Asia spent a couple of days adding fresh coats of paint and murals to the walls of AHC to bring cheer to the patients. more

Employees from Japan and Asia combine to build second playground in Tohoku

Volunteers from Japan and Asia joined hands again between November 7 to 9 to build a playground for an elementary school in Ishinomaki, a coastal town that was struck heavily by both the earthquake and subsequent tsunami of March 11, 2011. The event is one of a number in recent months to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Deutsche Bank Asia Foundation, the first and a significant contributor to the funds for relief efforts in Tohoku. more

10,000 hands project unites Japan and Asia employees to build & refresh Tohoku playgrounds
