Deutsche Bank was one of the key organisers of the event and was involved from the beginning with planning, recruiting and executing the ride. 35 employees were dedicated to this effort and the Legal department alone raised over $8,000.
The post-ride event was absolutely buzzing – the bikers were on an adrenaline rush from having completed their rides as well as knowing that they had helped the aidha cause; the aidha alumni were all smiles, applauding and cheering as the bikers neared the finish line and handing out much-welcomed bottles of water and isotonic drinks. Several of the bikers asked how else they could get involved, how they could make the ride bigger next year, and if they could enrol their helpers at aidha – all indicators that the event was indeed a huge success.
This is the second formal event where Deutsche Bank has partnered with aidha – previously 15 staff were at aidha's annual graduation where they reviewed the students' business plans and were part of a judging panel to select the winning plan.
