23 students from Anderson Secondary School and Compassvale Secondary School attended two workshops held at Deutsche Bank. The workshops were designed to be fun, interactive skill-learning sessions where Deutsche Bank staff interact, inform and inspire CARE students with a vision of future possibilities and the steps they can take to get there.
In the first workshop, ’My First Interview’, students were taught how to prepare a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and some of the commons do’s and don’ts when writing a CV. Students and Deutsche Bank volunteers also participated in role plays.
In the second workshop ’I Wanna Be Financially Independent’, students are taught how to manage their limited financial resources; to be discerning; how to differentiate an individual’s ’wants’ and ’needs’; and how to be financially independent. The session was highly engaging and the students picked up tips on how to be more focused and work towards their ultimate goal.
The workshops were designed and presented by the Deutsche Bank volunteers, who come from various departments, including Corporate Finance, Corporate Security and Business Continuity (CSBC), Global Markets, Global Technology, Human Resources, Legal, Regional Management and Private Wealth Management (PWM). They have dedicated their time to partner these students in their learning journey; inspire them and spur them to do well in all their endeavours.
The event ended with an in-house lunch.
