The volunteers got to work immediately upon arrival, cleaning up the garden of the nursery school which was overgrown. The group also cut up proper pathways to each of the playground equipment in the garden to allow the children safe and easy access.
Thereafter, the volunteers participated in the centenary walk of the school organized to raise funds and create awareness of the school’s activities. This provided an opportunity for the volunteers to interact with the current and past pupils of the school. The encounter no doubt resulted in increasing the volunteers’ appreciation for sight and hearing that is so often taken for granted.
