Tree planting drive in Jaipur

August 2013 │ India

On August 3, Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Responsibility Committee in Jaipur organised a tree plantation drive in Mahapura village and Kalwara Village School, as a pledge to environmental sustainability.

It was a successful event with 66 volunteers attending. Out of a total of 350 trees, 250 were planted at the schools and 100 were planted in Mahapura village. It was the monsoon season and the rain poured heavily, but the enthusiasm of the volunteers did not waver. Despite being drenched with water and covered in mud, everyone still went on to plant as many trees as possible. All the volunteers who turned up were determined to do their bit for Mother Nature.

The volunteers also spent some quality time with the schoolchildren. The school representatives were pleased to see the passion of volunteers in the field.
With the strong determination and high spirits, the team was set to rock in this monsoon season. “Such events generate positive energy and inner satisfaction,” was a comment from a volunteer who left the village tired but fulfilled.
