To maximise impact just before schools reopen after the summer holidays, the Foundation set up stalls at Deutsche Bank's Nirlon B1 and B7 offices in Mumbai. This time, the drive garnered a record contribution of over INR 150,000/- from employees, which will sponsor more than 500 new school kits for underprivileged children. Each school kit comprises a bag, notebooks, drawing book and a geometry pencil box.
To take this initiative beyond the funding aspect, on June 13, 20 volunteers helped assemble these school kits for distribution by the partner charities. The enthusiastic volunteers managed to complete their task in just one hour, much faster than anticipated. Representatives from Ishaan Foundation, Think Foundation and Zila Parishad School Chiplun collected the school kits to distribute to the students in the new school term.
