We’re setting up a virtual accounts solution for a Fortune 500 company that is a household name. We have a checkpoint call with the client to review progress. I try to schedule all calls involving clients in the morning, as they prefer to get project administration out of the way so they can focus on development and testing for the rest of the day.
Development projects have a lifecycle of anywhere between six and 14 months. They go through multiple phases, beginning with sales, followed by scoping and design of the solution, business requirements, development, user testing, production and post-production to refine the solution after it goes live.
Each phase is a small project within the larger one, with its own deliverables and deadlines. Having a call every week allows us to playback requirements with the client, see if anything has changed, resolve issues and plan next steps.
I joined Deutsche to work on projects like this, using leading edge technology to develop global solutions that meet strategic business needs. It’s inspiring to work for an organization that always over-delivers, because of the vast experience, innovative culture, professionalism and commitment of the team to do their best work for every client.
