I’m on my final rotation within the Finance Business Partner team, working as a Human Resources Advisor. I’m enjoying being able to try out the role. I’ve learnt a lot on all of my rotations, working on dedicated projects and work shadowing. I’m fortunate to be gaining such a high level of exposure at this point in my career.
As an Advisor I’m the point of contact between management and employees. I deal with all HR issues within the business, including recruitment and induction, employee relations, professional development, talent management and compensation and benefits. I make sure policies are followed correctly and people are treated fairly. It’s a good introduction to the world of HR. Most of our customers in the business are in the UK and Europe, but there is a global dimension to everything we do due to the mobility of people within the bank.
I studied Management at Manchester University. HR appealed to me as a career because I like working with people and solving problems. I wanted to work in HR at Deutsche Bank because as a graduate you gain experience in every area of HR. That makes you versatile and gives you a platform to develop your future career in the direction that most interests you.
