Our tasks include enhancing and protecting Deutsche Bank’s reputation and brand. To this end, we inform the general public and bank employees about all key developments and assist in the dialogue with clients and shareholders. Our work involves providing information via media relations, internal communication with employees and social media activities. We work to enhance the global awareness and recognition of the Deutsche Bank brand. Our market research team supplies the required data, analyses and decision-making information. Our Corporate Social Responsibility team contributes towards making Deutsche Bank's operations more sustainable in every respect – economically, ecologically and socially. Deutsche Bank supports better education and the development of social capital in numerous countries around the globe – one of our teams coordinates and augments this commitment. We also organise several hundred events every year. All these activities contribute to the public perception of Deutsche Bank.

Corporate & Investment Bank
The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses. This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation.
Corporate Finance is comprised of regional and industry-focused coverage teams that ensure the delivery of the entire range of financial products and services to the bank’s corporate clients. The business includes the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team as well as the debt and equity capital markets (DCM and ECM) teams.
Global Markets develops and structures customised solutions for institutional clients including asset managers, banks, insurers, corporations and pension funds. We help them to generate returns and hedge risks and on their investments. We do this by providing access to liquid asset types, such as debt, currency, fixed income and equity products, as well as illiquid assets such as financing for ships, aircraft, real estate and infrastructure projects. We provide our clients with the global capital markets expertise of a major universal bank and direct access to the German and international markets.
Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.
Corporate Services provides real estate, facilities management, procurement and logistics services to deliver superior commercial value for the bank. We oversee a global property portfolio in more than 60 countries. As well as defining the standards for our retail branches, providing working environments that help boost productivity, we’re also working to uphold the bank’s commitment to carbon neutrality and sustainable operations.

The Global Governance Function (GGF) addresses the increasing regulatory focus on clear governance structures. The team strengthens Deutsche Bank by anchoring the organization to a set of governance rules and procedures which are simple, universal, enforceable, documented and measurable.
We are empowered to set the governance framework for DB Group globally, to facilitate its cross-unit application and to monitor its implementation. We develop and safeguard effective corporate governance structures that are based on clear and consistent roles and responsibilities.

Group Chief Security Office
The Group Chief Security Office comprises both Corporate Security and Information Security. Every day new threats emerge which could impact the effectiveness of the bank’s operations. Together we run security operations globally to protect the bank’s people, infrastructure, processes and information.
We work with every business division, regional management and all employees to protect our business operations and facilities, and to maintain the safety and security of our people. We support the resiliency to, recovery from, and the management of crisis events.

Group Management Consulting
Group Management Consulting plays a key role in implementing the vision of Deutsche Bank Group. We report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and support the bank’s Senior Management in detailing and executing the strategy of Deutsche Bank Group. In Frankfurt, London, Singapore and New York, our teams take responsibility for leading and supporting strategically important projects in collaboration with our international partners.
Our project portfolio consists of strategic and transformational initiatives, product development, restructuring programme, and process optimization. Group Tax manages the Bank's tax affairs through its two functions, Tax Reporting and Compliance and Tax Advisory Services.
Tax Reporting and Compliance is responsible for internal and external tax reporting and disclosures, tax accounting policies, the Bank's effective tax rate and other key tax metrics. This function also manages the Bank's compliance with local tax obligations, tax filings, and tax audits and disputes.
Tax Advisory Services partners with business areas and other infrastructure functions across the Bank to provide tax advice on business transactions and products, corporate acquisitions and divestitures, and internal structuring and organization. The function is responsible for tax related risk parameters in these areas and collaboration with governmental bodies in connection with the development of tax legislation.

Legal is responsible for managing the legal risk of Deutsche Bank Group. Our mission is to ensure that legal services are provided to the bank with the goals of protecting its integrity and reputation and managing legal risk to make transactions viable and safe. We partner with Risk, Regulation, Compliance, Group Audit and others to provide a proactive integrated risk management approach.
We work closely with managers to coordinate activities across business lines so we avoid violations of laws. We make sure the Bank has up-to-date information on regulatory and legal changes and continues to be seen as a trusted, respected market participant.
Operations provides support for all of Deutsche Bank’s businesses to enable them to deliver transactions and processes to clients. Our people work in established global financial centres such as London, New York, Frankfurt and Singapore, as well as specialist development and service centres in locations including Bucharest, Moscow, Pune, Dublin and Cary. We process payments in excess of a trillion euros across the bank’s platforms, support thousands of trading desks and enable millions of banking transactions, share trades and emails every day.
