Since its launch nearly 8 years ago, the re:publica conference in Berlin has welcomed many of the most significant players in the digital society to its stages. With 5,000 participants last year alone, it has become Europe’s largest social media conference.
At re:publica 2014, over three days and with a programme of more than 250 hours of events scheduled, the most important internet pioneers and entrepreneurs from the fields of politics, economics, science, culture and society will be discussing ideas and solutions for the internet of the future. Since its inception, the digital society has faced continuous change – but never has change been as palpable as now. In these days of transparency and surveillance, re:publica 14 will be looking at whether we need to move away from order and predictability towards chaos and irrationality. The motto of the conference has been chosen with this in mind: INTO THE WILD.
