Global Logistics Services (GLS) provides world-class real estate and facilities management services to support Deutsche Bank's global operations. This work extends across 72 countries to help the Bank's people to be very best they can be in working environments that support productivity and collaboration.
GLS ensures the smooth running of over 4,000 buildings worldwide for more than 100,000 occupants and the services necessary for day to day operations. By following the db New Workplace concept, offices are using space and resources much more efficiently, providing a more flexible working environment than traditional workstations. Capital projects have included the complete refurbishment of the Deutsche Bank Towers, the Group Head Office in Frankfurt, and new fit out of 12 floors of the International Commerce Centre (ICC), Hong Kong's tallest building, and real estate projects around the globe.
Sustainability is a major focus for GLS. Through initiatives such as green building standards and leases, renewable energy, and energy reduction initiatives, GLS has helped shrink the Bank's global carbon footprint and maintain carbon neutrality from 2013. GLS has also improved water conservation, recycling and waste reduction, as well as sustainability within our supply chain.
The GLS team has also partnered the bank's front office by contributing technical expertise to secure the management of the Federal Republic of Germany / KfW initiated 'Global Climate Partnership Fund'.
