Rainer Neske new Global Head of Private & Business Clients and member of the Group Executive Committee

Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Rainer Neske as the new Global Head of the bank's Private & Business Clients unit. Neske, 38, who joined Deutsche Bank in 1990, will also become a member of the bank's Group Executive Committee. Neske was previously Deputy Chairman of Deutsche Bank Privat- und Geschäftskunden AG, responsible for Private and Business Banking.

Dr. Josef Ackermann, Spokesman of the Board of Managing Directors and Chairman of the Group Executive Committee, said, "Mr Neske's considerable experience in personal banking makes him perfectly qualified to continue the successful expansion and development of our Private & Business Clients unit. Mr Neske will concentrate on the further enhancement of customer satisfaction, profitable growth and sales."

Neske replaces Dr. Herbert Walter, 49, who is leaving Deutsche Bank at his own request to pursue other interests outside the bank.
