On December 12 Deutsche Bank hosted the traditional Christmas concert in Lecco, in favor of FAI - Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano (National Trust in Italy), the most important non-profit organization aimed at preserving Italy's cultural heritage.
Janina Ruh, internationally renowned young cellist, performed the Concert in D minor for two violins, cello and strings by Antonio Vivaldi, Nocturnal Dances of Don Quixote for cello and orchestra by Aulis Sallinen and Concert in C major for cello and orchestra by Franz Joseph Haydn, with the accompaniment of Cameristi della Scala Orchestra, from the prestigious La Scala theatre in Milan.
This concert is part of the three-years initiative "Young International Musicians for Deutsche Bank", launched in 2010 in cooperation with FAI. The project aims at supporting those young and talented performers, who have been awarded with important music prizes, in their career. During the last three years, artists from all over the world performed on Teatro della Società's stage, bringing classical high quality music to Lecco.
This event reinforces Deutsche Bank's commitment in promoting cultural development projects in line with the strong relationship the bank always fosters with local territories it works with.
