The Cleveland Orchestra and Radu Lapu at La Scala in Milan

Over 700 guests applauded Director Franz Welser - Möste

Great success at La Scala Theater in Milan for the seventh edition of  Deutsche Bank's concert  in favor of FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano (the National Trust). This year the prestigious Cleveland Orchestra  executed a special performance of Ludwing Van Beethoven e Richard Strauss conducted by Franz Welser-Möste. Extraordinary  Radu Lupu  performance at the piano, greeted with a triumph of applauses at the end of the concert.

An audience of over 700 guests from the financial, corporate and institutional environment, attended the event.

The event is part of the cycle 'Major International Symphony Orchestras' of Deutsche Bank. Thanks to this initiative some of the world's most important orchestras have performed at La Scala: the London Symphony Orchestra and Daniel Harding (2009), the Bamberger Symphoniker with Georges Prêtre (2010), the Münchner Philharmoniker with Christoph Eschenbach (2011), the Philharmonia Orchestra with Esa Pekka Salonen (2012),  the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden conducted by Myung- Whun Chung with the special participation of the pianist Daniil Trifonov (2013) and last year The Orchestre National de France concucted by Daniele Gatti.

The funds raised through the concert will be devolved to FAI in favor of the maintenance of Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan city center.

This project is part of Deutsche Bank initiatives in favor of the Italian heritage of art and culture . Through its Foundation, Deutsche Bank stands alongside FAI to support and  protect our territory. In line with this aim, the bank initiated two years ago a cooperation for FAI's annual fundraising campaign "Remember to Save Italy".
