In line with Deutsche Bank’s commitment to helping the community, staff in our Pakistan office planned a Flood Relief program in collaboration with a local NGO, in which over 2,400 flood-affected families and households were provided relief assistance in the form of medical attention and food supplies.
The free medical camp and ration distribution was organized in November at district Badin (upper province of Sindh). The program was managed by a team of seven doctors, 10 paramedics, the Pakistan Navy Marines and 21 volunteers, which included 10 Deutsche Bank staff volunteers.
The medical camp attended to over 1,000 patients, which included free medical check-ups and free medicines to the patients. The medical camp was followed by the distribution of food ration packages distributed in the second half of the day till early evening. Each food package contained flour, pulses, rice, sugar, tea leaves, cooking oil, dry milk, salt and assorted spices, biscuits, juices, drinking water, floor mats and blankets.
