Now in its fourth year, Deutsche Bank’s annual Women in Asian Business Conference will bring together a group of influential and stimulating guest speakers on Thursday, September 25 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Speakers at this year’s conference include:
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Leading with Inclusion’, focusing on defining the nature of true diversity within the workplace to create a balanced workforce which effectively drives innovation and client service. How can leaders create a culture in which all employees are accepted and encouraged express their opinions? This and other issues will be examined during the course of the event.
The Women in Asian Business Conference follows the template of Deutsche Bank’s successful and well-established women’s conferences in Europe and the U.S. which started in 1995 with the Women on Wall Street Conference. This was followed by the launch of Women in European Business in Frankfurt in 2000 and in London in 2001, while Sydney launched Women in Banking and Finance Forum in 2009.
Lisa Robins said: “We are excited about inclusion as the topic of this year’s WAB conference. Inclusive organisations are best positioned to generate better decisions, ideas, products and solutions that reflect the needs of the communities around them. It makes good business sense to draw on the ideas and opinions of the full spectrum of staff so that we continue to innovate and remain relevant in a competitive marketplace. The fourth edition of WAB will focus on how to bring this idea to fruition.”
Antonia Cowdry said: “By promoting an inclusive workplace, we not only attract great new colleagues from the broadest possible pool of talent, we also ensure that we retain our people no matter what their background or stage of career. Leaders need support in creating this inclusive culture and this year’s WAB conference is designed to help them find ways to do so.”
