Gunewardena joins the Bank after 12 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was most recently Managing Director and Global Head of Fixed Income Derivatives Prime Brokerage. During his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Gunewardena was instrumental in the establishment of prime brokerage for derivatives products. He has served on the Boards of CLS Bank International and Market Partners and has been active in senior steering groups at the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, the Federal Reserve Foreign Exchange Committee, and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Gunewardena was Vice President and Head of Investment Banking Operations at Chase Investment Bank in London.
