Tiger Woods & Deutsche Bank Americas CEO Seth Waugh to ring the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange

World No.1 golfer Tiger Woods will join Seth Waugh, CEO of Deutsche Bank Americas, to ring The Opening BellSM at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, Aug. 28 to kick off the Deutsche Bank Championship, which tees off Labor Day Weekend, Aug. 28 - Sept. 3, at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) Boston in Norton, MA. The 2007 Deutsche Bank Championship is the second of four events in the inaugural PGA TOUR Playoffs and will feature Woods, the defending champion, competing against the world’s top 120 golfers for a spot in the season-ending Tour Championship and a $10 million first prize.

Now in its fifth year, the Deutsche Bank Championship is one of the premier events on the PGA TOUR and has become a New England Labor Day tradition. This year’s Championship will feature a record $7 million purse and a $1.26 million winner’s check. Capacity crowds will pack the TPC Boston grounds to watch defending champion Woods battle the likes of Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, 2004 champion Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen and the rest of the game’s elite. The Deutsche Bank Championship also benefits the community, having raised more than $7 million for the Tiger Woods Learning Center and host of local and regional charities in its first four years.

Practice rounds for the Deutsche Bank Championship begin on Tuesday, Aug. 28, and Wednesday, Aug. 29, with a pro-am competition on Thursday, Aug. 30. The four-day Championship begins Friday, Aug. 31, and continues through Labor Day, Monday, September 3. The first two rounds of the Championship will be covered on Golf Channel, and the final two rounds will be televised on NBC Sports. Tickets are available via the Championship website at http://www.dbchampionship.com/ or by calling 888-TIX-4DBC.
