Deutsche Bank closes its acquisition of Abbey Life


Deutsche Bank today announced that it has completed its acquisition of Abbey Life Assurance Company Ltd from Lloyds TSB Group.

Abbey Life is a UK life assurance company which closed to new business in 2000. The business of the company comprises primarily unit-linked life and pension policies and annuities. The total insurance-related reserves at the end of 2006 were EUR 17.3bn.
