Deutsche Bank has appointed Vinod Vasan as European Head of FIG DCM. He will join the bank in London from UBS and will report to Håkan Wohlin and Saleh Romeih, Co Heads of European DCM.
Mr Vasan was most recently head of FIG DCM for Europe and Co Head of Capital and Equity Linked Products, EMEA at UBS.
Commenting on the appointment, Håkan Wohlin said, “We significantly reinforced our FIG DCM team in 2009 with a number of key hires and Vinod’s appointment is a further step in strengthening our already powerful offering for financial institutions in Europe. As the leading bank for European FIG DCM we look forward to the additional impetus we expect Vinod to bring to the platform on behalf of our clients.”
Deutsche Bank has significantly strengthened its market leading European FIG DCM team in recent months, hiring six new Managing Directors in 2009 and Clare Hennings as DCM Insurance Head of Structured Solutions for Europe in January of this year.
