Gunit Chadha: a message from John Cryan

John Cryan, Deutsche Bank CEO, sent out the following message to all Deutsche Bank employees in the Asia Pacific region on June 14, 2016

Dear Colleagues,

Gunit Chadha, Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Bank in Asia Pacific, has decided to leave the Bank effective July 17.

Gunit has had a long career with Deutsche Bank. He joined us in 2003 as CEO for India. In that role, he oversaw our bank’s significant growth across multiple business divisions, developing its position as a leading investment and transaction bank in Asia’s third-biggest economy.

In 2012, Gunit was appointed as Co-CEO for Asia Pacific and sole CEO in 2015. During this period our businesses in Asia Pacific delivered substantial growth coupled with increased profitability.

I am grateful to Gunit for his contributions to Deutsche Bank and especially for his role in developing our valuable presence across 16 countries in Asia Pacific.

We will announce Gunit’s successor in due course.

Please join me in thanking Gunit and wishing him well in his future endeavours.

Regards,
John Cryan
