Deutsche Bank appoints UK Managing Director in European M&A

Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Anthony Parsons as Managing Director within its European M&A team reporting to Tony Burgess, European Head of M&A. Parsons, who will be based in London, will have a senior M&A origination and execution leadership role in the UK, with a particular emphasis on the financial sponsor client base.

Parsons joins from Citigroup, where he has spent the last seven years, most recently as Managing Director co-heading their European FIG M&A team. Parsons previously spent five years at Deutsche Bank culminating as Senior Assistant Director in Corporate Finance.

During his time at Citigroup, Parsons worked on a number of major transactions including, most recently, advice to Apax on its £1billion acquisition of Travelex and to West LB on the disposal of its aircraft leasing business, Boullion.

Commenting on the appointment Tony Burgess, European Head of M&A said; "Anthony is an important strategic hire for Deutsche Bank. He is a first class M&A practitioner with a wealth of experience in originating and leading the execution of major M&A transactions in the UK and Europe. Anthony will be an extremely valuable addition to our team as we continue to build our successful UK M&A franchise and consolidate our leadership position in the provision of M&A advice to financial sponsors."
