Deutsche Bank continues leadership support of Metropolitan Opera
The Met’s Opening Night Gala performance of Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor”, a new production conducted by James Levine, directed by Mary Zimmerman and starring Natalie Dessay, will be simulcast live in Times Square and at Lincoln Center on September 24
Deutsche Bank today announced it has underwritten the Metropolitan Opera’s Opening Night Gala for the seventh consecutive year and provided leadership support of the Met’s live transmissions of the Opening Night performance of Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” onto outdoor screens in New York City’s Times Square and at Lincoln Center’s Josie Robertson Plaza for the second year in a row.

The transmissions of “Lucia di Lammermoor” will be presented live at 6:30pm ET on September 24th in Times Square and at Lincoln Center’s Josie Robertson Plaza. Advance tickets are required for attendance to the broadcast in Lincoln Center Plaza and will be available at the Met box office beginning at 12 noon on Sunday, September 23. The Times Square transmission is free, and tickets are not required. Approximately 1,500 seats will be available for the public on a first-come first-served basis, with additional standing room provided. The performance will also be broadcast live on Metropolitan Opera on Sirius Satellite Radio (Channel 85) and streamed live from the Met’s website, http://www.metopera.org/.
