Deutsche Bank recognised as Bank of the Year 2010 by IFR

International Financing Review (IFR) today recognized Deutsche Bank as its Bank of the Year for 2010.

In citing Deutsche Bank for its top honour, the magazine’s editors said: "The performance of the investment banking part of Deutsche, combined with equally sure-footed developments in areas such as retail and commercial banking and the private bank and wealth management divisions, leave the firm well positioned to build on its tremendous performance since the crisis hit. Indeed, it is back on the front foot and growing again."

Commenting on the honour, Dr. Josef Ackermann, Chairman of the Management Board and of the Group Executive Committee, said: "To receive this prestigious award for the third time since 2003 is an outstanding achievement. It reflects our successful transformation into a leading global investment bank alongside the development of a strong private clients business, our excellent risk and capital management and our role as a pioneer in coping with the financial crisis. We are deeply grateful to our clients, shareholders and employees who made this all possible.”
