Deutsche Bank to add Justin Abelow as a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Group
Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. today announced that Justin Abelow will join the Global Banking Division on July 2 as a Managing Director in the Bank’s Financial Sponsors Group, focusing on middle market private equity clients. He will be based in New York and will report to Mark Epley, a Managing Director and Global Head of the Financial Sponsors Group.
Abelow will join from Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, where he was most recently a Managing Director leading their East Coast Private Equity effort. Abelow has more than 14 years of experience in developing, sourcing and executing merger and acquisition, public and private equity, restructuring, financial advisory, and debt transactions across a wide array of sectors, with a particular emphasis on leveraged finance and financial sponsor transactions.
“Justin has a tremendous track record of developing strong relationships with his clients, and we believe that he will be able to leverage the strengths of the DB platform to achieve even greater success,” said Mr. Epley. “We are excited about his arrival and believe his addition reflects our continued commitment to the rapidly growing middle market financial sponsor space.”
Abelow earned a J.D. from the Columbia University School of Law and an AB, magna cum laude, from Columbia College.
