Douglas Runte to join Deutsche Bank as Head of Aviation Debt Research

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. today announced that Douglas Runte will join as a Managing Director and Head of Aviation Debt Research within the Bank’s Markets division. He will be based in New York and report to Steve Abrahams, Managing Director and Head of Securitization and Mortgage-Backed Securities Research. In his new role, Runte will cover the transportation sector, focusing on airline, aircraft lessor and other aircraft-related debt across the investment-grade, high-yield and ABS markets.

Runte has more than 20 years of experience in fixed income research, most recently as a managing director and senior aviation analyst at Piper Jaffray. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley, where he was the senior analyst for both debt and equity for North American airlines and aircraft-backed securities.

“Doug is one of the top debt analysts in the transportation sector, and we’re delighted to welcome him,” said Abrahams. “His significant knowledge of the airline industry and strong record of providing actionable market ideas will further enhance our industry-leading research platform.”
