John Calvert to join Deutsche Bank`s Large Cap Investment Banking Group as a Managing Director

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. today announced that John Calvert will join the firm as a Managing Director in the Large-Cap investment banking coverage group. He will be based in New York and report to Robert Jeffe, Chairman of the Corporate Advisory Group in the Americas, which encompasses the firm's investment banking coverage and M&A practices, and Head of Deutsche Bank's Large-Cap Coverage Group.

In Calvert's new role, he will join a team of senior bankers dedicated to providing strategic counsel and transaction execution to Deutsche Bank's largest corporate clients. In addition to advising large-cap clients, he will also work closely with Deutsche Bank's global Metals and Mining coverage team as the firm continues to expand in that important global industry.

Calvert will join the bank from Credit Suisse First Boston where he has worked in New York and Toronto for more than six years, most recently as a Managing Director and Global Head of Mining Investment Banking and a senior banker covering large-cap Canadian companies. He also has worked in the natural resources investment banking groups at Morgan Stanley and in a prior tenure with Deutsche Bank.

"John has been advising large global companies on all aspects of finance and strategy for more than 15 years," said Jeffe. "With his exceptional experience and client relationships, he will be an great addition to our Large-Cap practice."

Calvert has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Sydney and was a pilot in the Royal Australian Navy Fleet Air Arm.
