John Curran joins Deutsche Bank's Debt Capital Markets Group as Head of Liability Structuring

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. today announced that John Curran has joined the bank's Debt Capital Markets group as a Managing Director and Head of Liability Structuring in North America. He will be responsible for structuring non-standardized financing products including hybrid capital. Curran is based in New York and reports to Chris Whitman, Head of Debt Capital Markets and Corporate Coverage in North America.

Curran joins the bank from Lehman Brothers where he was a Senior Vice President in the Global Finance Solutions group. Prior to that, he held positions at law firms Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Brown & Wood, as well as at the accountancy Arthur Andersen.
"John will sharply increase the idea content we deliver to our issuers and expand the range of security structures we offer to our investors," said Whitman. "John's tax, accounting, ratings and structuring skills are a powerful package. Our issuers and bankers alike will derive great value working with John."

Curran holds a BS from the State University of New York at Albany, a JD from St. John's University School of Law and an LLM in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
