Luis Antonio Betancourt Barrios joins Deutsche Bank as Head of Trading in Mexiko

Deutsche Bank Mexico, S.A. today announced that Luis Antonio Betancourt Barrios will join the Bank's Global Markets division as Head of Trading for Mexico.  Betancourt will be based in Mexico City and report jointly to Cristian Binaghi and Sergio Kostek, Managing Directors and Co-Heads of Latin America Trading, and Tito Vidaurri, Managing Director and Country Manager for Deutsche Bank Mexico.  

Betancourt will join the bank from JPMorgan, where he was most recently a trader in New York and Mexico.  Prior to that, he was Head of Fixed Income Market Making for JPMorgan in Mexico.

"Mexico is a key financial market for Deutsche Bank in Latin America and therefore a vital growth area for us," said Binaghi.  "Luis will lead our team well and his strong client relationships in Mexico and throughout Latin America will be an enormous asset to our growing local trading businesses."

Betancourt earned a BA degree from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
