Ralf Bedranowsky appointed new Global Head of DB Shipping

Deutsche Bank to enhance its position as a leading financial services provider for the shipping industry

Ralf Bedranowsky (48) joins the Management of DB Shipping, the global shipping unit of Deutsche Bank, on October 1, 2007. As Global Head of DB Shipping he will be responsible for Deutsche Bank’s worldwide ship financing business, including Schiffshypothekenbank zu Lübeck (SHL). He succeeds Torsten Wagner (64) and Tjark H. Woydt (64), who will continue to serve the bank and its customers until the end of March 2008. Annemarie Ehrhardt (49) retains her Management duties for DB Shipping and on the Management Board of SHL, together with her global responsibility for market support functions in Deutsche Bank’s ship financing business.

Jürgen Fitschen, member of Deutsche Bank’s Group Executive Committee and responsible for the business in Germany, said: “Shipping is an extremely attractive market in which we intend to enhance our position as the leading bank for maritime SMEs and major international ship owners and operators. Ralf Bedranowsky returns to Deutsche Bank after three years on the Executive Board of Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen. Until 2004 he served national and international clients as a member of the Management of Deutsche Bank Hamburg, and was responsible for credit risk management in the North and East Regions, including a Supervisory Board mandate with SHL.
