Stefan Baron appointed new Head of Communications at Deutsche Bank

Stefan Baron (59), for many years the chief editor of “Wirtschaftswoche”, will take over as Deutsche Bank’s new Head of Communications from June 1 of this year. Mr. Baron will have worldwide responsibility for Group Communications – Press & Media Relations, Internal Communications and Brand Management – and will also assume a leading position in Corporate Social Responsibility.

Stefan Baron studied Economics, Political Science and Social Psychology in Cologne and Paris, subsequently conducting empirical socio-economic research before moving on to journalism. Prior to taking on the position of chief editor for “Wirtschaftswoche” in 1991, his distinguished career included many years as financial correspondent for “Der Spiegel”. He is a recipient of the Ludwig Erhard Prize and a member of several international organizations, including the International Media Council of the World Economic Forum, Davos.
