Yaroslav Lissovolik, Chief Economist of Deutsche Bank in Russia, participated in Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum

Yaroslav Lissovolik, Chief Economist and Head of Research of Deutsche Bank in Russia, acted as moderator at two plenary sessions and participated in the brainstorming panel at the 12th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum in Russia on 26-28 February.

Yaroslav Lissovolik opened the first plenary session  “Crisis or New Opportunities? Russian National Development Agenda” on the 2nd Day of the Forum. He highlighted the main discussion points: internal and external conditions posing a threat of stagflation to the Russian economy, new growth drivers for the country’s economy, such as imports substitution policy, export growth in other industries apart from mineral resources, private equity sector, etc. Key speaker of this session was Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government, followed by other presenters including prominent economists, academicians and business figures.

The topics raised at the plenary session were further developed by Yaroslav Lissovolik and other speakers at the brainstorming panel focusing on “Investing with no access to refinancing: How the economy adapts to new realities”.

On the same day Yaroslav Lissovolik moderated the Closing Plenary Session of the Forum summarizing the event. He led the discussion and noted the importance of the Forum’s topics, the delegates’ hard work and the great practical results of the event.

As was highlighted in the Forum’s final documents, 36 agreements for over RUB 213 m were signed at the event. These agreements are aimed at developing industries, telecoms infrastructure, forest projects, highly qualified specialist training as well as at improving social objects. 

The key message of the 12th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum-2015, attended by 6000 guests from 35 countries and 54 Russian regions, was “Russia and the Asia-Pacific Countries: From an Integration Policy to Development Projects”. The main discussion points of the Forum were Russia’s cooperation with the Asia-Pacific Region, investment opportunities in the Russian economy, imports substitution aspects, professional training for boosting the competitiveness of the local industry.

Together with Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government A. Dvorkovich, a number of high level officials, such as Government ministers, Heads of 14 regions of Russia, top managers of the Russian state corporations, as well as members of the business community, well known academicians and public figures took part in the Forum.
