Ari Makela Joins Deutsche Bank As Managing Director for Nordic Coverage in Global Banking

LONDON, 4 November 2008 – Deutsche Bank announced today that Ari Makela will join the bank as Managing Director for Nordic Coverage in Global Banking. He will be based in London and report to Jan Olsson, Head of Nordic Corporate Finance and Chairman of the Nordic Management Committee.

Makela joins Deutsche Bank from Lehman Brothers, where he was Managing Director overseeing origination and execution of M&A, equity and corporate finance transactions in Nordic countries, with a focus on Finland. Prior to joining Lehman, he was Director at Alfred Berg / ABN AMRO in Helsinki, where he was responsible for Finnish and Nordic clients, focussing on metals & mining, pulp & paper, chemicals and engineering companies.
