This week, Deutsche Bank is holding its fifth annual Earth Week event. Earth Week is the Bank’s Group-wide event dedicated to raising awareness about the Bank’s commitment to ecological issues. The week coincides with Earth Hour and the United Nations’ World Water Day.
This year’s call to action is to “be part of the bigger picture” and encourages employees to consider how they can take part in environmental and ecological initiatives and ensure that Deutsche Bank continues to lead the market in sustainability, both commercially and operationally.
Henry Ritchotte, Chief Operating Officer of Deutsche Bank, launched Earth Week on Monday 18 March. He told employees: “Sensitivity to the environment in which we operate – economically, socially and ecologically – is vital in building a sustainable future for Deutsche Bank.”
Events and initiatives throughout Earth Week will focus on ecological responsibility, particularly in conserving energy, carbon, water and paper, and reducing waste.
