Deutsche Bank ATLAS programme wins Opportunity Now award

Deutsche Bank also included in The Times “Top 50 Employers for Women”

Deutsche Bank announced today that it has been awarded the Global Award in the Opportunity Now Excellence in Practice Awards 2012. The award recognises the success of the Bank’s global sponsorship programme, Accomplished Top Leaders Advancement Strategy (ATLAS), which helps women progress to senior positions within the Bank.

Deutsche Bank UK has also been included in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women list, released today. The list by Opportunity Now recognises UK firms where gender equality is an integral part of their business strategy, and where there is a consistent commitment to progressing women across their entire organisation.

Deutsche Bank female employees participating on the ATLAS programme are provided with bespoke development opportunities and direct sponsorship from a Global Executive Committee member. Since the programme’s launch in 2009, 50 per cent of participants are now in new or broader roles.

Eileen Taylor, Global Head of Diversity at Deutsche Bank, said: “Deutsche Bank strongly believes that diverse teams deliver improved business performance. I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of Deutsche Bank from Opportunity Now, whose work has made an important contribution to gender diversity in the UK’s workforce.”

Helen Wells, Director of Opportunity Now, said: “Being a winner of the Opportunity Now Excellence in Practice Awards is testament to the exceptional progress Deutsche Bank has made in promoting gender equality, diversity and inclusion. Deutsche Bank definitely is leading by example and needs congratulating for the excellent work it is doing to utilise the skills and talents of a diverse workforce.”
