Deutsche Bank Further Strengthens Deutsche Shipping Platform

Simon Booth to join as a Managing Director in London

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. today announced that Simon Booth will join the firm as a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Deutsche Shipping, alongside Ralf Bedranowsky. Booth will be based in London and will report to Paul Stefanick, Global Head of the Industrials Group.

Booth has more than 20 years experience in shipping finance, having most recently served as a regional head of Citigroup’s Shipping, Offshore and Ports corporate banking business in the EMEA region. He joined Citigroup’s shipping corporate finance division as a Relationship Manager in 1987.

“Simon brings a wealth of expertise to the Deutsche Shipping platform, and we’re excited to have him partner with Ralf as we continue to invest in and grow this business,” said Stefanick. “Deutsche Bank has provided exceptional client service in the shipping industry for more than one hundred years, and we’re confident that Simon’s appointment will further enhance our corporate and investment banking efforts in what continues to be a critical component of the global economy.”

Booth earned an MA in Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

As an integral part of Deutsche Bank Group, Deutsche Shipping is well-positioned to offer its clients sustainable and practical financing solutions in the international capital markets. For the shipping industry, diversification of financing sources will remain a desirable strategy going forward, and while challenges in the shipping market persist, Deutsche Shipping continues to focus on its long-standing client relationships, consistent risk management and a continuously diversified business portfolio.
